About Me:
When I was 11 our elementary school had us take an aptitude/personality test to determine what jobs may be of interest to us in our future. Depending on the type of job you received you were given X amount of ‘money’ and the project consisted of numerous assignments to teach us how to manage time/economics/etc. The results of mine was ‘film producer’, which I found kind of strange because at the time I had no interest in it.
Funnily enough, it was through tricking that made me develop an interest in filmmaking. I have hilarious memories of taking my family’s digital camera and filming myself flail around pathetically in the backyard trying to teach myself flips and kicks. As my friends and I started getting better at acrobatics, we began to wonder if perhaps we could make a career out of performing, which led to the creation of Hybrid Movement. After high school I spent a few years learning filmmaking at Capilano University and BCIT. I wanted to improve the quality of videos we were releasing online and get a better idea of how that entire industry worked. Eventually, I would like to learn 3D animation and start combining all our disciplines with motion capture for our own online series. I like to dabble in as many types of movement as I can, and attempt combining them once I become proficient. I try not to take life too seriously and just have fun doing whatever it is I do, without necessarily trying to label myself with one specific discipline or job. The main idea is to just be happy, but I suppose that’s a little cliche

About Me:
Ever since I can remember I’ve loved to perform and entertain, whether it was acting, dancing, or singing (basically being the center of attention). When I was 9 I saw Michael Jackson dance for the first time and since that moment my whole life changed. My way of thinking and being was never the same. I thought to myself: “how could a man demand such attention and entertain such a crowd?” It was the ability that he had to make even the smallest movement look like the biggest deal.
After that I started to train as many different styles as possible because I wanted to inspire and be something like Michael, but also I wanted to be ME; I wanted to be original and creative. I started doing competitions and battles to get myself out there and gain experience while dancing in front of thousands. I wanted to go big and make the crowd see and feel what I was feeling during the moments I performed.
Years have gone by and I have been thrilled to have danced at the highest level. I have danced professionally with the Jonas Brothers, Demi Levato, Victoria Justice, and many high profile celebrities in many feature films, TV shows, music videos and commercials. I was hand picked for Camp Rock 2, Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief, Nickelodeons original Movie Spectacular, and Cirque Du Soleil the show Love, to name a few.
When I dance I lose my self in the movement. As soon as that beat starts it’s like a trigger and things that matter don’t anymore. The best part about dance is that no matter how you are feeling that day, whether its happy, sad or angry you can express it in dancing and with every different emotion a new masterpiece is created. That’s why I love dance. Today I continue to train, work for my Agency at VA Entertainment, teach all over the continent and be lucky enough to be a part of an incredible and talented group of guys like Hybrid Movement. But seriously don’t worry about it.

Disciplines you practice: Mainly bboying in terms of following it strictly and seriously. Parkour, Freerunning, Tricking, Gymnastics.
About Me:
Movement in any sense has always been a huge part of my life, I don’t feel right if I’m not taking a regular ammount of time to dance, or jump around. I even get a bit antsy. I find it to be a physical, mental and spiritual release to me. I never really realized what other people meant when they called something a “release” until now. Where I’ve had enough time to really analyze how I feel at times when I am training and when I’m not. And also having some hard trials in my life these past couple of years I’ve always directed and focuse my attention to mainly breaking and tricking and the results are usually very positive coming from something negative thats happened.
I find over the last years the other members of Hybrid and myself have really branched out in terms of focus to our respective directions, I have mainly in bboying, and I’m excited to bring my knowledge and ideas from a different discipline adding it to the whole, just as I feel being added to me every time I spend time with the group.

Disciplines you practice: Martial Arts Tricking
About Me:
My name is Jervin Densing, and I am a tricker from Richmond BC, Canada. I’ve always been interested in acrobatic movements since I was a kid, and it wasn’t until I was 16 years old that I made a serious decision to dedicate my time and effort into a sport that I grew to love: Tricking.
What I love most about tricking is the way it improves one’s self confidence physical abilities in a fun and exciting way. Through it I also met a lot of very unique and interesting people that inspired me to work even harder and explore other related areas of tricking that I was unsure about trying out. I’ve recently joined the group “Hybrid Movement” to better my skills and gain professional experience in the exciting field of performance arts.

Height: 5’8

Ethnicity: Cacausian
Disciplines you practice: Parkour, Free Running, Acrobatics, Martial Arts, Tricking, Stunts.
About Me:
Ever since I was really young I loved to watch t.v. shows like Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, and played video games like Street Fighter. Like other kids I would go out into my backyard and try to mimic all the moves I would see on the shows or in Street Fighter.
While finishing high school I felt like I didn’t have motivation or a purpose. Then I lost my closest family member… I was even more lost without a purpose. One day I saw Jump London on Discovery channel, it opened my eyes… I saw myself… I saw my reason to get up out of bed. Ever since then I have been hooked in to discovering the limits of how far I can push my body and mind. Training and movement is now my life… my path… Hybrid Movement shares the same passion towards movement.

Height: 5’1
Weight: 110 lbs
Ethnicity:Chinese
Disciplines you practice: Martial Arts Tricking, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Baton, Yu Chian, Internal Martial Arts, Tai Chi, Bah Qua, Push Hand, Aikido, Nun chuck, Staff, Sword, Whip
About Me:
My name is Jennifer Li, and I love Martial Arts Tricking. Whether it be by myself or with friends, I really value my time spent training. Learning, improving, and getting inspired; that’s what tricking is to me. It’s a way for me to release my emotion and express myself in a way that is productive. As Bruce Lee once said, “A good fight should be like a small play…but played seriously.” I feel the same way about tricking. I take it seriously but have tons of fun while doing so.
Different people have different philosophies and goals; I feel that I am in the exploration stage of my life, and am just trying new things. I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. It is through these different cultures that bring me different kinds of inspiration.
Aside from tricking, the things I like to do include: drawing, art, rhythmic gymnastics, baton, Origami, internal martial arts (Tai Chi, Bah Qua, Yu Chian, Push Hand), Chinese Chess (three times representing Canada). Out of all my interests, I love tricking the most, because in tricking the community feels like a big family, inspiring and encouraging each other. This happiness is not only the feeling felt when you successfully land a new trick or make an improvement, but also when others achieve success and you feel their happniess. To be able to spend time with a group sharing, learning, experiencing, and chasing after a common goal is truly a great thing.
